Today will be the sixth day in a row that we have failed to see temperatures hit the freezing mark. It looks like the streak will come to an end on Sunday as a surge of warmer air begins to lift in. With the surge of warm air will also come a change of our weather pattern, with rain expected everyday through Wednesday. At this time the big concern over the next week will be our rain totals and what it could potentially mean to our area rivers and streams. Situation will be similar to earlier this month where we saw 3.64 inches of rain within a three day time period. The main difference will be in the fact that we will not have a significant snow melt ALONG with significant rain. Our rivers and streams are likely to be tested, however, with an additional 1.5 to 2.5 inches of mostly rain falling between Sunday and Wednesday.
