Brownsburg police identify Indianapolis woman found dead in car

BROWNSBURG (Oct. 30, 2014) – A woman was found dead in Brownsburg Wednesday morning.

A Brownsburg police officer patrolling near Ronald Reagan and Interstate 74 stopped to investigate a suspicious vehicle parked near the eastbound entrance ramp to the interstate.

Inside, the officer found the woman dead in the backseat. Investigators said the time of death was unknown.

On Thursday, Brownsburg police identified her as Marie Sullivan, 35, Indianapolis.

There were no signs of trauma on the body or indications of foul play. Police didn’t know if the woman had been with anyone else in the car or if she had stopped to rest.

An autopsy has been conducted and police are waiting on results. Police said her death remains under investigation.
