INDIANAPOLIS (March 3, 2013) – Officers arrested a burglary suspect after he led them on a chase on the city’s northwest side Monday morning.
Police began chasing the suspect when an alarm went off at Memories Bar and Grill in the 7800 block of Michigan Road. Speeds reached upwards of 80 mph as police pursued the suspect to 59th and Georgetown Road.
At that time, the man jumped out of his car and ran off. An officer drove off the road and toward the wooded area where the suspect had run. Police caught him less than a mile from there in the 5800 block of Sebring Drive near the Inverness Apartment Homes.
Officers found cash scattered around the floor of the suspect’s car. Police on scene said they did not believe the suspect was armed.
