The Carmel Clay School Board voted Monday to adopt a new anti-bullying policy that addresses cyber-bullying.

The board adopted a new policy in order to comply with the state’s revised bullying law.

All schools are now required to have comprehensive bullying policies. They’re also allowed to go after cyber-bullying, no matter where it happens.

The state Department of Education is supposed to offer schools a model for the new anti-bullying policy as well as educational materials for students and staff.

So far, schools are still waiting for that information.
