Castleton Square Mall managers will meet with Indianapolis Metro Police officers on Tuesday morning to discuss how to best protect shoppers after a youth fight broke out over the weekend leading to several arrests.

Police report guns were pulled out, Saturday, but shots were not fired. Dozens of teens were kicked off property.

The incident comes after a rash of youth violence in and around Circle Centre Mall, also owned by Simon Property Group and shots fired at Lafayette Square Mall which is not operated by Simon.

Since then, Metro police have been working on ways to curb teen violence and have beefed up security in downtown and around the mall.

Now Metro police will have a heavy presence around Castleton Square Mall. District officers plan on having their roll call meeting this Saturday at the mall.

A spokesman for Simon told Fox59, mall managers have been told to keep constant lines of communication with police and mall security will be more diligent about removing groups of four or more unsupervised minors from mall property.
