MOORESVILLE, Ind. -- A Mooresville family welcomed quadruplets over the weekend after trying for five years to get pregnant. It's a message of determination and to never give up.
Miles and Natasha Collett welcomed baby Liam, Rowan, Harper, and Willow on Sunday. One boy and three girls. Four little blessing that were 5 years in the making for the Collett family.
"We're looking at each other like okay. She looks at my doctor and goes we have four," Natasha said.
Natasha and her husband Miles never thought this day would come. After going through three rounds of intrauterine insemination and $16,000 later they were ready to give up.
"The foster care system it brought us back together more than anything. So after our second no in the iui we brought foster kids in and it was by far just as fulfilling as we thought it would've been having our own kids," Miles said.
The couple had already adopted two brothers. So now the quad squad makes a party of six, a reality this family is overjoyed to experience.
"You see them and hear their cries for the first time and you get to hold them. Like I said yesterday was my first time getting to hold just one of them and it just, literally cannot describe the feeling," Natasha said.
This couple wants to encourage other families having problems to conceive to stay hopeful.
"If you're meant to be a parent it doesn't matter what child it is. It means that your heart is in it for all the right reasons and don't give up," Natasha said.
And although they only planned for one child, they're ready to take on a quadruple dose of diapers and feeding, but most of all joy!
"As hectic as it sounds to everybody else to it's something we were more than ready for. Even after hearing four it was incredibly shocking and scary but it's going to be so exciting and fun that I could care less how hard it is," Miles said.
Their doctor says it’s possible the babies could’ve all been conceived at different times. And they haven’t ruled out the possibility of having more. In the meantime they have to worry about getting a large passenger van. If you’d like to help the family out click here.
