Child injured in crash, not wearing seat belt

A woman and a 7 year-old girl are in serious condition after a head-on collision Saturday night. It happened just before 9 p.m. Their vehicle collided with another car, at the intersection of 30th Stree and Fall Creek Road. Neither the adult nor child was wearing a seat belt.

IFD crews had to pull the woman and girl from their vehicle. It took 10 minutes to get them out of the wreckage. They went to Methodist Hospital in serious condition.

The 62 year-old driver of the second car was released from the scene with no injuries

IMPD is still investigating the crash.

The Indianapolis Fire Department would like to remind residents that when riding in a vehicle that all occupants must wear seat belts.
