INDIANAPOLIS — Investigators determined a fire that destroyed an old church on Indy’s near west side was arson, according to the Indianapolis Fire Department.
Dozens of firefighters and first responders battled flames at the abandoned church early Wednesday morning.
The 911 call about the fire came in around 3:30 a.m.
The fire is on the corner of West New York Street and North Elder Avenue.
Neighbors say the church has been vacant for years.
No one was injured.
