Indianapolis will soon have a better idea of its chances for hosting another Super Bowl. All 32 NFL owners will meet in Washington, D.C., next week.

During those meetings, the Super Bowl Advisory Committee will announce the short list of contenders for the 2018 game.

Indy announced its bid in August, and the city’s going up against the likes of Tampa, New Orleans, Denver and Minneapolis.

Tuesday, Mayor Greg Ballard said he thinks the city has a great shot of landing the big game once again.

“We’ve got really good people in the city of Indianapolis. We really know how to put these things together and even though we know it’s the 32 owners that vote, i think everybody would love to have it come back to Indy,” said Mayor Ballard.

After next week’s vote to narrow those cities down, the NFL owners will meet in May to decide the host of the 2018 game.
