(Jan. 21, 2015) -- An Indiana girl is in the fight of her life. Living with a rare disease and now she needs a second organ transplant. A local community has come up with a unique way to support the family and bring awareness to organ donation.

At 2 years old Chloe Chapman is vibrant, walking and talking like the rest of her peers. But on the inside she's fighting. Chloe was born with very little intestine.

"So from day one of her life she has deal with Short Bowel Syndrome. Meaning she is not absorbing nutrients. She can not eat like a normal child," said her father, Eric Chapman.

Chloe gets all of her food through a feeding tube. She had an intestinal transplant at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health back in November, but her body rejected the transplant and doctors had to remove it. So it's back to square one. But it's just the beginning for a New Castle Zumba group who decided to step in and help the Chapman family.

"We are having the fundraiser to help with any funds they might need for travel or medical expenses but also an attempt to get some publicity for organ donation and the importance at any age," said organizer Lindsey Martin.

Martin attended high school with Chloe's mother, Tricia. She heard about the family's story and decided to arrange a "Zumbathon" in New Castle as a way to raise money and highlight a topic that's difficult for families to discuss.

"It's very important to her mother Tricia and to us to get the word out how important it is that even in these tragic situations you're willing to help out other families with the memory of your child," said Lindsey.

For this family, it's a kind gesture they never expected.

"Our hearts go out to the time and effort that they're putting into it. It is just completely humbling and we're completely grateful."

The Zumbathon is this Saturday beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Church Street Gym in New Castle. There will also be a silent auction if dancing isn't your thing. For more information click here

A fund and blog have also been set up to follow Chloe's journey.
