INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 1, 2015)– Court documents reveal more disturbing allegations into the case involving the now former head of the Jared Foundation, 43-year-old Russell Taylor.
In addition to the child porn and child exploitation investigation, now police are looking into claims Taylor was involved with bestiality.
Taylor allegedly sent several lewd text messages to a concerned citizen, some including links to websites dedicated to bestiality dedicated and obtaining child porn.
Court documents reveal when detectives asked the tipster if she thought the text messages were sent in a joking manner, she replied, “You could tell he was serious.”
According to court documents, Taylor sent a text message to the concerned citizen asking, “How young are you ok with?” Taylor’s conversation went on to say, “I wanted to ask lol. Keep in mind we do travel to Thailand on occasion.”
One of the investigating detectives says, “Based upon my training and investigation experience, I know person(s) who have a sexual interest in children have been known to travel to Thailand because it is a hotspot for child sex tourism.”
Investigators searched Taylor’s home on Wednesday in the 1300 block of Salem Creek Boulevard and found evidence of child porn that appeared to have been shot inside his own home.
“Alarming, I mean, I have kids. There’s lot of kids in this neighborhood, so it’s just alarming that it’s this close,” explains Scott Kirisits, a neighbor.
Up until his arrest, Taylor was the executive director of the Jared Foundation, named after Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle. The foundation works toward raising awareness about childhood obesity.
Taylor bonded out of jail early Friday morning.
No one was home when FOX59 went to Taylor’s home to get his side of the story.
State police continue to investigate.
