INDIANAPOLIS (June 5, 2015) – A semi traveling south on I-65 crashed at the north split around 5 a.m. Friday, closing the ramp for traffic past rush hour. The ramp reopened just after 1 p.m.

The cab of the semi landed on its side, and although the flatbed remained upright, gas and debris littered the road. The driver was injured and taken to Eskenazi Hospital. Indiana State Police said the interstate would remain closed for hours.

While the ramp was closed, southbound traffic couldn’t get through downtown on I-65 and had to be diverted to I-70 East.
