FISHERS, Ind. – An Indianapolis man was killed in a crash involving a semi on Thursday night.

The crash happened around 10 p.m. on I-69 at the 204 mile marker. When police arrived they found a white 2010 Toyota Rav 4 passenger car wedged under the rear of a semitrailer.

The driver of the car, 43-year-old Ernesto Moon, was found dead on arrival.

The driver of the semi was not injured and fully cooperated with the investigation.

Based on witness statements and evidence at the scene, it is believed both the semi and the Toyota were traveling southbound when the Toyota rear-ended the trailer. The exact cause of this crash is yet to be determined.

Currently, alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in this crash. All southbound lanes were re-opened at 1:30 a.m.
