Crash involving motorcycle and semi kills Edinburgh woman

GREENSBURG (Sept. 28, 2014)  — An Edinburgh woman died following a crash involving a motorcycle and semi-truck in Decatur County Sunday afternoon.

According to the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department, Kenneth Creech, 52, was going south on U.S. Highway 421 when he failed to stop for the flashing red light at the intersection of County Road 800 W.

Creech’s motorcycle slid on its side and struck the rear trailer tires of a semi.

A passenger on the motorcycle, Teresa Creech, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene. Kenneth Creech was transported to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis with internal injuries.

The semi driver was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.
