COLUMBUS, Ind. (April 8, 2016) – Police are investigating after a credit card skimmer was found in a gas pump at a Columbus gas station Friday.
Officers say the skimmer was found at the Circle K Gas Station at 1644 Central Avenue by a contractor, conducting a routine check of the gas pumps.
Investigators believe that the device was placed in the pump between 12 p.m. on April 6 and 12 p.m. on April 7. People who used their credit cards to buy gas at the pump during that time are encouraged to monitor their credit card statements and if necessary request a new card.
