INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (October 20, 2015) – Decatur Township crews battled a large cornfield and building fire on the southwest side of Indianapolis.

The fire was in the 5400 block Seerley Road. Wayne Township assisted Decatur Township's crews.

The fire caused heavy black smoke that could be seen billowing across the southern part of the city. It started in an old storage barn that had paint and tires inside. The fire spread to neighboring woods and a field because of dry conditions.
