INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 11, 2014) — Firefighters are battling a large, nearly 3 alarm fire on Indy’s south side.

Crews were called to the 2000 block of Draper Street a little before 8 p.m. Friday evening. A second response team was dispatched a short time later.

The Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) says the building is an unoccupied warehouse.

Asbestos tiles from the ceiling of the warehouse is creating hazardous conditions. There has been no call for evacuation at this time.

Just after 10 p.m. Friday, IFD labeled the fire as under control. They do not yet know what caused the fire. No injuries have been reported.
