Crews resume search for man who disappeared in White River

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The search will continue today for a man that went missing in the White River on Saturday, May 25.  The man was identified as Terrance Williams, 52, of Indianapolis.

Indiana Conservation Officers will again use sonar and other methods to attempt to locate  Williams.  The search will be concentrated between the 16th street dam and Lake Indy boat ramp.

Two witnesses called 911 around 5:45 p.m. Saturday to report seeing a man floating in the White River north of the 16th Street dam. The witnesses eventually lost sight of the man, who was floating in the river with his canoe.

The canoe and lifejackets were recovered just south of the 16th Street dam.
