2 men dead, 1 injured on Indy’s near northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Two deaths on the city’s near northwest side is under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD).

Police responded to a call that came in around 8:50 a.m. in the 1800 block of North Dexter Street.

IMPD says three adult males were found at the scene and two of the three men were unconscious.

Indianapolis EMS pronounced the two men deceased at the scene and a third was transported to an area hospital in good condition.

According to police, investigators didn’t see any trauma on the two men who died. Police aren’t ruling out an overdose as a possible cause.

The victims haven’t been identified, but police say they’re believed to be in their 50s.

A fourth person could potentially be involved as well. Police say he showed up at a local hospital.

The coroner’s office will determine the victims’ cause of death, but the coroner noted the deaths are “probable overdose deaths.”
