Authorities find 122 lbs. of Khat at FedEx facility

Authorities have seized 122 lbs. of Khat at the Indianapolis FedEx facility.

Officials found the drug hidden among computer parts on a shipment from Great Britain. It was bound for Wisconsin.

So far, no arrests have been made.

Khat is a flowering plant and stimulant drug, mainly grown in Africa.  The drug is typically chewed and causes a state of euphoria and elation, as well as feelings of alertness and arousal.  The drug can also increase blood pressure and heart rate in users.
