23-year-old man dies after shooting on Indy’s northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A man was shot and killed on the northwest side of Indianapolis Saturday night, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department

Shortly after 8 p.m., police were called to the 3200 block of Lupine Drive in reference to a person shot.

Officers found a 23-year-old man in the street who was suffering from at least one gun shot wound. EMS personnel took the victim to the Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.

On Tuesday, the victim was identified as Jimmy Warren. The coroner ruled his cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds.

IMPD homicide detectives have launched an investigation and quickly began interviewing witnesses on scene.
