INDIANAPOLIS – An employee was shot during the robbery of a Qdoba restaurant on the northwest side of Indianapolis, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department
Officers were called to the 3500 block of W. 86th Street around 11:30 a.m. in response to a suspicious person in a parking lot.
IMPD said before officers arrived, the suspect entered a Qdoba and tried to rob the business. During the robbery, the suspect shot a female employee in the arm and then ran away, according to police.
That victim was taken to the hospital and has been released. Police say she suffered a relatively minor injury, and no one else was hurt.
The suspect fled through the adjacent Skyline Chili restaurant and took off on foot toward 86th street, according to IMPD. Police do not have a suspect in custody.
