KOKOMO, Ind. (April 19, 2016)– A 70-year-old bus mechanic with the Kokomo School Corporation is facing a misdemeanor battery charge after police say he forcibly got on a bus and screamed at a driver.

Frederick Bolinger is accused of leaning against a driver’s upper torso and neck for several seconds after he forced his way on to the bus.

Police say the incident was captured on the camera inside the bus. The video reportedly also captured Bolinger referring to the driver as “gay.”

The driver says Bolinger attacked him after he revved up the engine as he was warming up his vehicle, court documents show.

Bolinger is still employed by the district. The investigation is ongoing.
