Person dead after shooting on Indy’s northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Indianapolis Metropolitan police say a person died in a shooting on the northeast side.

According to IMPD, officers were dispatched around 1:15 p.m. to the 4500 block of Jamestown Court where they found a person shot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives have been called to investigate.
