Police arrest suspect in connection with armed bank robbery in Kokomo

KOKOMO, Ind. (April 7, 2016)– Kokomo police arrested a man Thursday in connection with an armed bank robbery.

William Gudger, 34, of Kokomo, faces one count of robbery.

Officers were called to the Security Federal Savings bank around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police say Gudger displayed a weapon when asked to remove his sunglasses. He demanded money and fired a single shot into the ground.

A customer suffered minor injuries and was treated on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and police expect there to be additional charges.
