INDIANAPOLIS (July 31, 2015) – Indianapolis Metropolitan police seek an armed robbery suspect believed responsible for multiple robberies in Marion County.

IMPD officers were dispatched to the 7300 block of Pendleton Pike around 12:40 a.m. on Tuesday after the Speedway at that location was robbed.

Surveillance images showed the man was wearing a blue jacket and gray pants and brandishing a firearm during the theft. Police said the same suspect may be responsible for as many as 10 robberies in Marion County.

"It's very concerning and we know from the past that individuals will get to a point where they will continue to terrorize a convenience store or particular area and what we want to do, is we want to get those individuals off the street before these crimes escalate," said Officer Chris Wilburn with IMPD.

Detectives believe the suspect is working with another individual who is acting as a lookout. They say the robber walks into a business, fires shots and demands money. Police say most of the robberies happen late at night when the businesses are getting ready to close.

The suspects also hit a Burger King at 3750 N. Illinois twice during the month of July.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers of Indiana at (317) 262-TIPS (8477). Callers may also text “INDYCS” plus tip information to 274637 (CRIMES).
