INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Jan. 20, 2015) — One of the three suspects in the Richmond Hill neighborhood explosion case is expected to change her plea to guilty Tuesday.
The details of Monserrate Shirley’s plea deal have not been made public, but the prosecutor confirmed she will change her plea in at least some of the charges to guilty in an afternoon court appearance.
Shirley, Mark Leonard and Bob Leonard are accused of plotting to blow up a home in the Richmond Hill subdivision in a scheme to collect insurance money.
Two people, Jennifer and Dion Longworth, died in the blast on Nov. 10, 2012. Dozens of homes were damaged or destroyed, resulting in roughly $4 million in damage.
