Third arrest made in beating of 73-year-old Frankfort taxi driver

FRANKFORT (Dec. 8, 2014) – Police in Clinton County have made a third arrest in connection with last month’s attack on a 73-year-old taxi driver.

Frankfort police and Clinton County sheriff’s deputies took Andres Bautista, 24, into custody in connection with the Nov. 23 beating of Franklin D. Hornsby.

Frankfort Police Chief Troy Bacon said Bautista was arrested on Dec. 5 during a traffic stop at County Road 350 West and State Road 28. Police had an arrest warrant on charges of attempted robbery, criminal confinement and aggravated battery.

Police previously arrested Brenda Garcia and Nellie King in connection with the assault.

Bautista was taken to the Clinton County Jail to await charges.
