Third person arrested in pair of armed robberies in Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Nov. 6, 2014) – Lafayette police arrested a third person in connection with a pair armed robberies at area convenience stores.

Police arrested Jacob Lumbley, 33, in the parking lot of Walmart at 4205 Commerce Dr. in Lafayette. Investigators believe he had a role in a Nov. 1 armed robbery at a Speedway gas station and a Nov. 5 robbery at a Village Pantry.

Wednesday, police announced the arrests of Tiffany Dawn Mounts, 19, and Miguel Garcia, 26, in connection with the crimes.

Police said they stole cash, alcohol, sandwiches and cigarettes from the Village Pantry on 601 Union St. Garcia was also wanted in connection with the robbery at the Speedway on 1901 Elmwood Ave.

After Mounts and Garcia were arrested, police said they were still looking for Lumbley in connection with the robberies.
