EDINBURGH (June 6, 2014) – Divers are searching the Blue River Dam in Edinburgh after receiving reports of a possible drowning involving teenagers.

Just after 12 p.m., authorities were dispatched to the Big Blue River near State Road 252 in Johnson County for a report of multiple people distressed in the water.

DNR officials said the incident involved five juveniles, including four males and one female. The girl went over the dam, and the four others went in to help her. The female and one of the males were rescued and CPR was administered before they were taken to Johnson Memorial Hospital. One of the boys remains missing; two others made it out.

The male and female who were rescued were taken to Methodist Hospital via Lifeline just after 3 p.m.

DNR tells FOX59 that the search has shifted from a rescue to a recovery mission for the remaining missing teen.

Crews from Johnson County, Bartholomew County, Edinburgh, DNR and National Guard have responded.

DNR has released the names of the teenagers:

Jason K. Moran, 17, is still missing

Sarah May McLevish, 16, and Michael Chadbourne, 16, are both in critical condition at Methodist Hospital.

Trent Crabb, 17, and Mark Naley, 18, were checked out by EMS but had no injuries.

DNR has suspended the search and will resume Saturday morning.
