INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Dec. 28, 2015)—A volunteer organization that aims to improve the quality of life for dogs is offering a reward for information on who left a puppy to die in a northeast side dumpster last week.

Workers with Friends of Indianapolis Dogs Outside (FIDO) said the 8-week-old puppy was found inside a dumpster near an apartment complex at 38th Street and Sherman Drive last Friday.

The puppy, named Angel, died as she was transported to the vet.

FIDO is offering a reward that is now more than $800, thanks to contributors.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the Mayor’s Action Center at 317-327-4622 or email iaccenforcement@indy.gov.
