Indianapolis near west side house fire causes $20,000 in damage

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (October 25, 2015) — Firefighters awoke early Sunday morning to a house fire on the near west side of Indianapolis. The fire broke out at approximately 4:30 a.m. near the corner of Belmont Avenue and Washington Street.

According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, no one was home at the time of the fire. The fire damages are estimated at $20,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
