INDIANAPOLIS – As if the week wasn’t busy enough, Ed Carpenter’s schedule just got a little fuller after a career accomplishment on Saturday.
The owner/driver won the pole for the 97th running of the Indianapolis 500 and will start at the top of the race for the first time in his career at noon on Sunday.
Because of his recent accomplishment Carpenter has been in demand for interviews and appearance around the Indianapolis area. On Monday afternoon, for instance, he stopped by the Marsh in downtown Indianapolis to sign bottles of Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka-the primary sponsor for his #20 Chevrolet-powered machine.
