GREENWOOD, Ind. (Sept. 9, 2014) — Center Grove Schools launches its new public effort for strategic planning Tuesday and school leaders expect hundreds of people to attend.
The committee, dubbed CG100, will act as an advisory group to the school system’s Strategic Planning Commission in setting longterm goals for its educational services, according to Jack Parker, Assistant Director of Curriculum, Assessment, Instruction and Special Education.
“We’re very excited to add a large group of our community members to give input into the direction of our schools,” Parker said of the nearly 500 White River Township residents expected to attend. “We’ve had some very successful strategic planning in the past and we want to take it to the next level.”
Tuesday’s meeting will be held at the Center Grove High School auditorium from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The CG100 group will be asked to convene again for another one-hour meeting on Jan. 13, 2015.
“This is an opportunity for a voice for all stakeholders in our community,” Parker added. “We’re wanting this to be focused on student learning. How can we better improve our educational services?”
Members of the CG100 group do not have to be parents of school-aged children, he said. Anyone wishing to attend can register online at the Center Grove Schools’ CG100 website.
