FISHERS, Ind. – A former employee fired shots at office building in Fishers this morning after being fired.

According to Fishers police, the shots were fired in the in vicinity of I-69 and 96th Street just after 10 a.m.

Police say the suspect is in custody and was terminated  by a third-party vendor of Newgistics this morning. There were no injuries, and police are continuing to investigate the incident.

Newgistics issued the following statement:

This morning at approximately 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time, there was an incident involving an individual employed by a third-party vendor at our facility in Fishers, Indiana. We understand that this individual was removed from the facility and allegedly fired shots into the air from his vehicle. No one was injured.

Authorities were immediately contacted and we understand the individual has been apprehended.

As this is an ongoing police investigation, Newgistics cannot comment further.
