(January 26, 2016) – And this little piggy went “wee wee wee” all the way to a nice warm home!

That’s actually what this piglet did after getting stuck in the snow when Winter Storm Jonas hit. Perry Smith told photographer Sara Kenigsberg that he saw the piglet on the side of the road while he was driving with his daughter in the Washington, D.C. area.

Smith and his daughter Catherine stopped their car and pulled the piglet out of a mound of snow. They warmed up the piglet and took it home with them. Catherine appropriately named the pig “Wee Wee,” and according to Kenigsberg she’s definitely playing the role of Fern from the book “Charlotte’s Web.”

The family will take care of Wee Wee until the roads clear, and then the piglet will live at Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary in Poolesville, Maryland.
