INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- As FedEx Express prepares for the holiday season, they are joining with the Ten Point Coalition to get the word out they are hiring.

The director of FedEx Express, Donnie Twyman, and Rev. Charles Harrison with the Indy Ten Point Coalition joined Fanchon Stinger on the FOX59 Red Couch to announce the alliance.

Indy Ten Point will now play a crucial role in connecting people who need jobs with open positions and employers who are looking for good workers.

FedEx Express is hiring permanent part-time jobs with full benefits.

They say planning is also in the works to eventually offer transportation for people who don’t have a way to get to work, so that doesn't become a barrier to providing for their families.

Indy Ten Point says the more people we help put to work, the stronger we make our communities and the less crime.

The job fair is set for this Saturday, Oct. 8. It will take place at the Barnes United Methodist at 900 W. 30th Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
