LAWRENCE, Ind. — Firefighters from Indianapolis and Lawrence responded to a fire at a northeast side golf course Thursday morning.

Dispatchers received the first call around 3:30 a.m. When firefighters arrived, fire could be seen coming from the side and roof of the golf course clubhouse.

A Lawrence Fire Department spokesperson told Fox 59 the first call to 911 was from the alarm company reporting a burglar alarm.

A few moments later, the alarm company reported a fire alarm as well.

Preliminary investigation leads fire officials to believe the fire was accidental.
