INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (July 11,2015)–Fire heavily damaged a home on the city’s southeast side Saturday afternoon.

Shortly before 3:30 p.m. firefighters were called to the 7700 block of Windy Hill Lane.  That scene is near East Raymond St and South Franklin Road.

A neighbor noticed smoke pouring from the garage of the two-story home and notified the owner who was mowing the lawn.

The owner alerted his wife and two children who were still inside and got them out okay.

One family cat was located and firefighters gave the pet some oxygen.  A second cat was unaccounted for.

The flames were brought under control within 30 minutes.

Investigators traced the cause of the fire to an electrical problem in the garage.

Damage has been estimated at $210,000.
