FISHERS, Ind. (June 16, 2014)— The Fishers Police Department released Monday the name of the motorcyclist killed following a police pursuit Friday evening.

Howard NG, 32, was ejected from his motorcycle after striking a 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche head-on. Police said the motorcyclist was driving westbound on 96th Street and crossed the double yellow center line before striking the Avalanche.

Police said the man was ejected and laying in the middle of the road when he was struck by a 2004 Ford F150.

Authorities said a Fortville officer attempted a traffic stop on the motorcycle in Hancock County.  Police said NG failed to stop, prompting a chase.

NG was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, said authorities. He was pronounced deceased on the scene.

No one else involved in the crash was injured.
