Woman’s vehicle stolen after leaving it unattended to warm up

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Oct. 22, 2013)— The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after a woman reported her car was stolen from her east side residence Monday morning.

The 31-year-old victim told police she was warming up her 2005 White Pontiac Grand Prix and left it unattended for a few minutes. When she looked outside to check on it, she discovered it had been stolen.

The incident occurred in the 10300 block of Governours Lane.

The victim reported she left her vehicle unlocked and running around 7:40 a.m. to warm it up. It only took the robbers minutes to get inside her vehicle. By the time she looked outside, the car was gone and the suspects were out of sight.
