INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. –Bill Bless,the coach with the most wins in University of Indianapolis football history has died. Bless, who also served as a mayor of Greenwood in 1991, was head coach at his alma mater from 1972-1993. His sons followed in his footsteps and became football coaches.
While at UIndy, Bless also served as a professor. His public service career includes six years on the city council and was eventually elected mayor of Greenwood. Bless was inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 1994.
Bless was 76.
