Former Scott. Co. bank manager accused of stealing $63,000

SCOTTSBURG, Ind.—A former bank manager in Scott County, Ind. was arrested Friday morning after police said she stole more than $63,000 from customers.

Renea White, 24, was charged with five counts of defrauding a financial institution and five counts of theft.

The arrest followed after a seven month long investigation that revealed White allegedly ran multiple schemes to take money from the Centra Credit Union. Authorities said the schemes ranged from taking money from the teller drawer to allegedly manipulating customer’s accounts.

The incidents occurred from January 2, 2012 through January 18, 2013.

Centra Credit Union has corrected the accounts of affected customers.
