Frankfort police look for leads, motive after severe beating of 73-year-old taxi driver

FRANKFORT (Dec. 1, 2014) – Police in Frankfort are following several leads after a 73-year-old taxi driver was attacked and badly injured last week.

According to Frankfort Police Chief Troy Bacon, Franklin D. Hornsby was found on Nov. 23 near Eighth and Boone streets with severe facial injuries. He was taken to a Frankfort hospital before being transferred to an Indianapolis facility.

Bacon said detectives were working several leads and looking for a motive. He said there’s no reason to believe the public at large was at risk.
