INDIANAPOLIS – All southbound lanes of I-465 near Shadeland Avenue and Fall Creek Road have finally reopened after a semi fire that occurred early Tuesday morning.

Crews responded to the fire shortly after 4 a.m. Tuesday and found a semi carrying cookie dough fully engulfed in flames.

The fire and fire cleanup blocked three southbound lanes on I-465 and traffic in the area was slow moving for 10 hours.

Crews finally finished cleanup just after 2 p.m.

A state inspector was called to the scene to make sure the overpass doesn't have any structural damage.

Firefighters are unsure what caused the fire, but the driver of the semi is unharmed.
