Funeral arrangements set for Delphi teens

DELPHI, Ind.– Funeral arrangements have been announced for the two Delphi teens at the center of a homicide investigation.

Police found the bodies of Liberty “Libby” German, 14, and Abigail Williams, 13, about a half-mile from where they had been walking on a trail on February 13. The teens’ deaths are being investigated as homicides.

According to Libby’s obituary, her pastimes included painting, crafts, volleyball, softball, soccer and swimming. She participated in band and Academic Bowl.

Abby’s obituary details her involvement in several local churches. She also played saxophone in the school band, and was on the volleyball team. She loved all outdoor activities.

Their visitations are scheduled at the Delphi Community High School Gymnasium from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18. A lantern release will follow the visitation.

Private family services for Libby will be at Delphi United Methodist Church on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens in Pittsburg, Indiana.

Memorial Contributions in Libby’s memory may be made to the Liberty German Scholarship Fund at the Industrial Federal Credit Union, care of Mike and Cody Patty.

Abby will also have a private family funeral and burial on Sunday. Abbott Funeral Home is in charge of those arrangements.
