INDIANAPOLIS – Pop culture fans young and old are heading to the Indiana Convention Center for PopCon 2022. The convention finishes up Sunday with panels, workshops, live podcasts, and lots of activities.
PopCon founder Carl Doninger spoke on what it’s like seeing the fans come together again. PopCon was one of the first events to return last year to downtown Indy after pandemic-related disruptions, but Doninger says more people are ready to walk in and see what the convention has to offer.
“It’s a really good feeling,” Doninger said. “We put so much work into it over the last 11 months of this year, and we don’t get to see people except for these three and a half days. When you see [fans] faces, it just reminds me why we’re even doing this. It’s just the people.”
