General Mills issues nationwide recall of frozen green beans due to Listeria fears

(October 4, 2015) – General Mills announced a recall of a limited quantity of frozen Cascadian Farm Cut Green Beans after one package tested positive for the presence of Listeria monocytogenes.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with this product.

This voluntary recall is limited to 16-ounce bags of frozen Cascadian Farm Cut Green Beans with a “Better If Used By” date of June 29, 2017. The date will be printed on the package.

These green beans were distributed to stores nationwide.

In late August, the company also recalled 10-oz bags of frozen green beans with “Better If Used By” dates of April 10, 2016 and April 11, 2016 after a package tested positive for Listeria.

No related illnesses have been reported in connection with this product.

Consumers are urged to dispose of the products affected by this recall and contact Cascadian Farm Consumer Relations at 1-800-624-4123 for a replacement.
