People applying for medical insurance for the first time or people who need help selecting the right insurance now have a new resource.  Hospitals like  IU health are offering health navigators to help patients find the right health care plan AND sign up. Navigators ARE on-site, easily accessible and armed with the answers you need.

“We can help patients with enrolling in Medicare, Medicaid and then the marketplace plans that are available now starting today. Our role as navigators is to give them information on all the options that are available and to help them enroll in any of those options they are interested in enrolling into,” said Angela Foster.

Angela says it`s been smooth sailing working with patients at IU so far. They are prepared for any glitches on the website and have paper applications available.  For more information go to www.iuhealth.org/covered or  www.healthcare.gov.
