LEBANON, Ind. — The pilot suffered minor injuries when a helicopter crashed in Lebanon while attempting to land, according to the Lebanon Police Department.

The helicopter went down Sunday afternoon in the 100 block of South Mt. Zion Road at XPO Logistics.

LPD says three people were on board the helicopter at the time of the crash.

According to investigators, the 1958 Sikorsky S-58JT Helicopter made contact with an empty semi-trailer after landing. An additional semi-trailer and three cars were struck by debris from the collision with the trailer.

The incident is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.

CORRECTION: It was originally reported that the helicopter crashed after clipping utility wires. Officials say an investigation must be completed before that detail can be confirmed.
